Yes it is. Halal home financing has grown a lot in Northern Virginia. There are several lenders who offer Shariah compliant programs where you avoid traditional interest. I work with trusted lenders who specialize in these options and I will help you find the right fit for your family.
It depends on the loan program. Some programs allow as little as 3% to 5% down payment. FHA loans require only 3.5% down. There are also programs for first time buyers that offer down payment assistance. During our free consultation I will walk you through your real numbers so you know exactly what to expect.
Most lenders look for a credit score of at least 620. FHA loans accept scores as low as 580. If your credit is not perfect yet do not worry. I can point you to resources that will help you build your credit faster so you are ready to buy sooner than you think.
From your first consultation to getting your keys usually takes 45 to 90 days. Pre-approval takes 1 to 3 days. Finding the right home takes 2 to 8 weeks depending on the market. The closing process takes 30 to 45 days after your offer is accepted. I keep the whole process moving forward so there are no delays.
A buyer's agent like me works 100% for you the buyer. I protect your interests and negotiate on your side. A seller's agent works for the person selling the home. In most cases the seller pays both agent fees so working with me as your buyer's agent costs you nothing extra.
